Wrapping up the Season

When winter comes and parks start closing their gates, we coaster enthusiasts grow sad. Even so we should realize that this is a good time to reflect on the past season and anticipate the new one.
This year parks added bunches of new coasters (“Infusion" - Pleasure Beach Blackpool, UK, "Maverick" - Cedar Point, USA, "Mystery Mine" - Dollywood, USA, "Desert Race" - Heide Park, Germany, "Griffon" - Busch Gardens Europe, USA, "Rage" - Adventure Island, UK, "Hollywood Dream" - Universal Studios Japan, "Kirnu" - Linnanmaki, Finland, "Space" - Milky Way Adventure Park, UK, Wipeout" - Pleasurewood Hills, UK, “Troy" - Toverland, Netherlands, "Renegade" - Valleyfair, USA, "Flying Fish" - Thorpe Park, UK, “Furious Baco" - PortAventura, Spain, "Crush's Coaster" - Disney Studios Paris, France, "Vliegende Hollander" - Efteling, Netherlands, "Vertigo" - Walibi Belgium. And the list goes on!) and most of us have got to ride some!
This year we have also seen many sad accidents. (9 In total) But with them comes more safety. When an accident happens we can fix the problem, and help amusement parks become safer. We’ve also had a number of successful CF lives. Let’s take the Cedar Point Live for example. We had a number of people come and even some from the other side of the big pond.
But what has made this year a memorable one? Is it that we’ve made new friends while riding roller coasters? – What could be better than that!?
As we anticipate this new season we ask ourselves, what will become of this one? Will there be a new record breaking coaster in the next few years, will there be more bad accidents? Well the answer is that we can never know, but we can always have fun anticipating and enjoying the next few years.
