Custom Coasters International, CCI, was founded in 1991 and built their first coaster (The Sky Princess at Dutch Wonderland) in 1992. The coaster was greeted by a massive degree of "meh" by the public and enthusiasts. Little did they know what was in store for them!
Their next two rides turned a few heads, with twisted layouts and thrills on a wooden coaster which hadn't been seen since the 20's and 30's. Noone was prepared for what was to come though.
When The Raven opened at Holiday World, it took the public and enthusiast community by storm. Fast, closed in with the woodland and exciting, The Raven hit the mark.
This led the way for CCI to break open the wooden coaster market. It could be said that they were the driving force behind the resurgance of the wooden coaster. Rides such as Megafobia in an unknown park in Wales, and Tonnerre de Zeus in Parc Asterix went straight to the top of people's favourite lists, and still rank highly in todays competative wooden coaster market. Holiday World went on to purchase a further CCI coaster, The Legend, in 2000, giving them two world class wooden coasters in the same park.

Sadly, in 2002, CCI closed it's doors after 11 years and 34 action packed coasters.
This isn't quite the end of the story though: The main talent behind the coasters designed at CCI started up a new company, The Gravity Group, who have already produced two top ranking coasters, world best coasters.
