Lake George, New York, USA

Alpine Bobsled | Boomerang Coast to Coaster | Comet | Canyon Blaster | Nightmare | Steamin' Demon

The Comet is one of the best wooden coasters in the world. It's fast paced with lots of airtime and speed. Its wood is nice and aged, so the track is very flexible, which makes it a fairly smooth ride, with the roughness of classic wooden coasters!

I've reridden this more than I would probably more than most, and will probably ride it over 30 times alone this summer
(I work at a camp thats 8 weeks long and we go to the great escape every week), while its a fun ride ............
Nowhere near a top 20 type ride (unless your counting wooden coasters where it MIGHT sit at #10), The 2 mid airtime hill
turns absolutely hurt me every time, and not as much airtime as I would like.

Really isn't anything special. There are countless rides I've been on that are more fun and exciting than this.

Now THIS ride is fun! I've ridden it at least 20 times, and it still gets me! The lines can be long, but they go
quickly because of the two trains.

This is worth a ten hour car ride alone. This ride is quick and has a TON of airtime.

Great ride. My favorite wooden coaster. The history mixed with the amazing ride is the best wooden experiance you can
get.

There are a huge number of coasters out there better than this, both steel and wooden.

Its not just airtime about this ride, its the past pace and the sheer agressiveness of it. And not to mention, this ride
does have some great airtime hills. It also pulls some lateral gs most new wooden coasters wouldnt even think of
pulling.

Don't even bother. Airtime isn't good at all and it is very rough! Classic or not it really cant compare to the great
coasters of today. I'll give it a 7 because it is a classic.

This ride rules. We got my mom who never rides roller coasters on it. You should have seen our on-ride photo. It looked
she was going Whoohoohoohoo. I love the Comet.
