Now colossus was the icon of the park when I first went, the year before Stealth was built. I was tiny, I was 8, and I was terrified. Though, in 2008 when I visited again, I braved it. And it gave me a headache on the scale of having nails rammed into my brain!!!!!!!!!! Thorpe tried to bring a great ride to the park, and my mum said it doesn't hurt when you keep your head forward. Though I didn't go on again, and never will. Pain beyond belief, as you may see in cf's vid where the riders are screaming things like LOATHE THIS RIIIIIIIIIIDE!!!!!!!!!! So yeah.

Overhyped! Could have been good, but it is way to repetitive, way to rough and the restraints are bad.. Further more it's way less thrilling than eg Dragon Khan hence it's small size, all in all it doesn't deserve a grade higher than 5/10.

I think this is the only ride in the world, where you get an absolutle smashing, yet you want to ride it over and over again. The hang time on the incline rolls are immense.

I now officially love this ride! Went to thorpe park the other day and had never been on a looping ride before. Stealth was closed so my riend said we should go on Colossus and it was awesome! 9

Just don't sit in the back of a car (where there is less leg room), it is a lot rougher, I have noticed

What the hell why would anyone score this ride 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 its worth much more than that it should be more like 9 or 10 i mean its the worlds first rollercoaster to have 10 inversions, plus the theming is good.

just to top the previouse comment , yes the themeing is magniffisent , i loved it , rather rough in places , and the restraints pretty uncoumfortable , but i had the dodggy train with no belts , soo that made more anticipation.

A good concept, and less sickly than I had imagined. I don't find it smooth or comfortable to sit in, but I guess this comes with age. Could do with a re-paint I say!
Despite all this, a very fun ride and one that you can brag about 'cos it has 10 inversions ;)
8/10

a smooth ride with more than enough inversions to tickle my fancy. i would give it 9 out of 10 but the ride is a little dated and i have gotten used to the extreme thrills so 8.

It's OK, nothing special. The heartline rolls should have been a tad faster and the small bump after the first loop should have been a bit harder, for some good airtime.

this ride is pretty good but the inline twists just get boring and repetitive, like they were just running out of ideas

Its becoming a mediocre show Colossus, suffering from down time and unwanted roughness. Once you've ridden it the ride loses all aspects of novelty too.

I love this ride, the first inversion and airtime hill leading into the cobra roll is my favorite part i also like how the path around the attraction is weaved right into the center so u can see the coaster woosh by 8/10

Left me a bit cold this one. Yes it is impressive but it lacks character in my opinion. Ultimately, a great ride but almost too much to take in and consequently left me with no lasting impression.

Why do so many people look at the negatives of coasters, I enjoy them while I can, looking at all of you who rated this anywhere under 7

Very thrilling but slightly uncomfortable due to lack of leg room. But coaster is amazing, themeing/landscaping.

I think Colossus is way underated! It is a bit "headbangy" but still it is class. I love the final twists!! :)

Its kinda a good ride. But it seems to have aged terribly. Enjoyable once in the day. But unlike other rides in the park, i don;t tend to re-ride.

I like this ride looks good visually, and I love going through the tunnels and flying over the crowds in the queues below, and I love the queue to, it is very good visually, the plants, the themeing the ride all works well together

A bit rough but i love it, especially the little drop that leads 2 a gr8 cobra roll, and who can 4get the 4 consecutive inline-twists.

It isn't too rough. Its capable. Its quite possibly the nearest rollercoaster to a B&M sit-down we can get in England, I respect that.

I haven't been on this, but I am going to Thorpe Park on monday with some friends, should I go on? People say it hurts, and I would be scared senseless because I'm not a big roller coaster person but I'm trying to be. I also have been known to run away at the last second lol, should I go on this?

Great ride, but it can get painful, especially if you are near the back, and are the only one in your car. Despite this it is still very good, with good theming.
