Park Information

Park Owners: The Tussaud's Group

This sister park to Thorpe Park goes for exactly that audience - the little sister. Having had it's most intense ride, 'Samurai,' moved to Thorpe Park, there is no clearer intention for the direction the park is taking - families. Having said that, this 'kids' park has attractions that whilst aimed at kids, are thrilling for adults as well. You would be hard pressed to find a spinning coaster as unique as Dragon's Fury, for example, or a Suspended Coaster as thrilling as Vampire.

Chessington is a great park with fantastic rides like dragons fury, rameses revenge and the vampire. I strongly recomend
a trip to chessington because of its great themeing and atmosphere, also with its great selection of rides for the whole
family.

The Tussauds Group seem to be investing most of their money into Thorpe Park now and having visited both this year I was
dissapointed with Chessington. Bubbleworks has had a re-theme due to a sponcership with a toiletries company and it is
now spoilt. All the aminatronics have gone. The vampire ride is less intense then it used to be so that younger (or
shorter) kids can go on it. It was never as good as Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park but it used to be quite enjoyable but
at least the ride lengh is good. I know the two mentioned parks are aiming for different audiences now but chessington
look worn out, tired and basicly not maintained as well as it once was. Their is an eating area outside next to Tomb
Blaster and you can see the que above you going round. We sat at tables here drinking a ?1.60 Nescafe coffee and the
unbrellas above the tables had holes in!!! There was spat out chewing gum all over the ground and apart from Dragon's
Fury there is not much to do. The only part of the park which is being well looked after is the zoo section. The animals
appeared to be very well look after and had enough room in their cages. London Zoo could learn a thing or two from this.
Please Tussauds Group - invest in a couple of brooms and a chewing gum remover machine!

I <3 Chessington. It ranks very highly on my list, because of the helpful staff, good ride quality, and themeing.

thrill yeti, this park is for younger children who are not tall enough to ride the bigger rides at other parks. i think
its a great park with good scenery and a great atmosphere.

this park isnt very good for thrill seekers. They've got rid of most of the good rides now so it only deserves a 50.

Vampire is the best ride at chessington! Closely followed by Rattlesnake & Tomb Blaster.

I love Dragons Fury. It is so re-rideable! Vampire is great with the themeing of the station and so on, however it's a
shame they gave the cars no character that's similar to the previous cars. Tomb Blaster is great too.

Chessington is my favourite park, The best ride has to be the awesome Dragons Fury, designed by the master of
rollercoaster design John Wardley. The whole park has an amazing atmosphere compared all the other UK parks. It has great
Food & Beverage outlets, and probably the best Staff of any UK attraction. If you want a great day out come to
Chessington.

I recently dicided that Chessington is my favourite park in the UK. Dispite it being the park i visit the most and the
one with the least thrills, Chessington's dedication to it's target audiance is demonstrated extreemly well in all it's
assets. From friendly and helpful staff, beautifully themed lands and excellent rides that everyone can enjoy to a
simply wonderful atmosphere and feel. Dragon's fury is a fantastic coaster, but i feel it's lost it's novelty after
re-riding it so many times. Dispite it's tame appearance, the ride offers some awesome thrills and arranging your car
based on weight to get the most intense spin can give the ride even more value. I much prefer the Vampire. It's high on
my favourites. At the back, the speed as it takes off over the second lifthill is pretty amazing and leaves some
shockingly gut wrenching airtime for a kiddy coaster. Rattlesnake is painful to those who do nto brace themselves, but
it's a rare coaster that only gets better the more you ride it. The park offers a variety of simply enjoyable family
rides and several thrills, but overall is my facourite park in the country for it's atmosphere. There have been days
when i have visted the park and it's been an unlucky busy day. I have still managed to really enjoy myself by talking to
friendly and entertaining staff, playing some of the games in the park, visiting the zoo or simpyl hanging out with
other CoasterForce members and having a laugh. Oh the wonders of an anual pass.
