Park Information

Park Owners: The park's website claims King Arthur owns Camelot Theme Park...

Camelot is a small theme park aimed at families. There is not much for teenagers or thrillseekers to do, but the "young'ns" will enjoy the two small coasters and the variety of tame rides. Their spinning coaster, 'Whirlwind,' happens to be a lot more intense than Spinball Whizzer at Alton Towers and Chessington's Dragon's Fury due to its compact nature, which gives many jolts and bumps throughout the ride.

Whilst it is not in the legue as say, Pleasure Beach Blackpool, it is a nice little park to visit once in a while, for
the odd day out. The rides dont really stick out too much (but being teamed up with Pinfari and Fabbri thats not
surprising!!!) however, Camelot is great for kiddies and less-enthusiastic ride on-goers. Plus, i love the whole
'Knights and Kings' atmosophere!!!

Not a lot of people take Camelot seriously. it has always been criticised for having a 'lack of thrills' however, having
suffered a bumpy history (The removal of Venom, the harsh fire which wrecked Tower Of Terror, the sudden vanishing of
Excalibur) it amazes me how this brave little theme park has survived and lived on, stronger than ever. With great rides
like the Whirlwind and Excalibur 2, Camelot still makes a great day out for everyone. Plus, the themeing and tidyness of
the park is superb. i have been to Camelot many, many times with my family and i really hope it sticks around for a
couple more decades (at least) as i feel i have a great deal of affection for the place. xXx
