Celebrating its 30th birthday as the world's longest wooden coaster...it's no wonder this ride is of acclaimed ACE Classic status.

The rider is sent on a high speed trek through the woods and through two tunnels, echoing the rider's screams.  There is more than a 300 ft. difference between the height of the first drop to the lowest point in the ride, meaning the train just gets faster and faster. You get a slight breather up the second lift hill but that's soon over as you're plummeting down and around one of the wildest wooden coaster tracks in the world!

Type: Wooden
Builder: Charles Dinn

Height: 110ft
Length: 7,359ft
Speed: 64mph

Opened: 1979

Top Ten ride. Legendary coaster, only made better if you get a ride after the fireworks.

It is still a good coaster, but I don't like anything as much as I would if it didn't have a second lift. This is a
great ride when you are going through the trees in the dark.

Oops. Once, the first half was pretty much trim free and the train flew through the MCBR, but was heavily trimmed
during the helix.

Really good, but those trims! I've been on there twice in the past few years. Once, the first half was pretty much
trim free and the train flew through the MCBR, but was heavily trimmed. They other time it was the other way around.
From that I can piece together what good ride should be like. Between 8 and 9..... 9/10

7/10. This year, they made the tunnel from the 2nd hill scarier! - it looks even more like ur gonna hit it! However, I
feel like I am being trimmed to death. It used to be REALLY fun, but now, i can feel a trim every 10 feet. WHY ARE THEY
DOING THIS????

The Beast is truly a one of a kind ride that couldn't be done without the scenery, the fact that it is STILL this good
years later tells you something about the ride.

great use of the terrain and the ride is so much better at night, if possible, I would give the night ride a 20, just
because. This is by far my favorite coaster ever, wooden or steel.

I guess I just didn't "get" this ride. No air, trimmed to death in bits and unbelievably shakey in others.

The Beast is only good in the back car, non-wheel seat, in the middle of the night. At night, it truly feels out of
control and fun. No wonder why many enthusiasts rate this ride very high. 9/10.

Best wooden roller coaster I have rode yet! The Beast is such an incredible ride there is just so much to say about it.
The tunnels, the airtime, the terrain is just all amazing. I love how the crew is good at dispatches to because a quick
crew can help provide a good ride.

I rode it again after a 2 year break and it's gone slightly downhill. The ride felt more trimmed and a bit slower then
last time. But that's where the bad ends. In the day I'd give it a 7/10, but at night it's still as far to 10/10 as
you can get. It's about the darkest you'll ever get on a coaster and the speed feels 10 mph faster then in the day.

Forgot to mention it, but ride it at night. It's absolute bliss, my last-ride-of-the-night front row at 10 pm ride is
probably my favorite coaster experience of all time.

The Beast is amazing. Even trimmed, it's still one of the best paced and best rides I've ever ridden.

i love this coaster when i ride in the front. the back is just way to rough. its really fun in the dark right after it
rains it is fast. my only negative thing is they do use those trims to much. its a 10.

The 2nd best woodie in the world in my opinion. Only the 'Thunderbolt' beats this for me. 'Megaphobia' comes 3rd.

I liked the Beast a lot, but gets marks knocked off for the overuse of the trims. It's not an airtime ride, so don't
expect it to be - what you get is a coaster adventure through PKI's landscape. Ride it in the dark to experience it at
its best.

This is one of the oldest wooden coasters that still stands as one of the best even though it doesnt have a lot of air
time and the reason for that is bc if they had added a bunch of little hills it would have been way to rough. The
layout is great and the helix is what made it really famous and the tunnels and a lot of excitement through the
surrounding terrain.

I do agree with CP6... this ride, although older then dirt, still packs a great punch. Thrill ride and a MUST if you
visit PKI

It's certainly been a good many years since the ride opened, but it still gets a great score from me, despite all the
changes. They definately utilize the trim brakes, which is unfortunate because without them the ride would be even more
insane. Just looking at the layout, it seems very boring... but when you actually ride all that changes. After the
drop, the coaster just stays down at a low level until the second lift, flying through the corners and tunnels. Of
course, a light ride enhances the ride greatly and makes flying past trees in pitch black a great experience.
Definately a 10.
