Alpengeist
Busch Gardens Europe, Williamsburg, Virginia, USA

Griffon | Apollo's Chariot | Alpengeist | Big Bad WolfDarKastle | Lochness Monster

Alpengeist is the largest B&M Invert in the world, and contains six massive inversions.  Alpengeist is considered to be one of the best inverted coasters in the world.

As a side note, Alpengeist is the only B&M Invert to have a stabilizing 'Zero-Car' placed on the front of its train.  Commonly seen on B&M Sit-down, Stand-Up, and Mega coasters, the Zero-Car's purpose is to help stabilize Alpengeist as its train negotiates the ride's huge inversions at high speed.

This is my favorite inverted. It has unusual height, great speed, but is not too rough.

Whenever you think of a GREAT!!!! B&M inverter, this is the one. It's smooth, fast, has many inversions. It's on my top
ten list of fav orite roller coasters.

This is my favorite B&M Inverted coaster. The drop is intense and the ride does not let up at all. Great use of terrain
to increase the excitement. Kudos to B&M. Also, this is one of only a couple rides that can be seen from the main road
leading to Busch Gardens. A great way to welcome coaster lovers to the area. Kudos to BGE :-)

Just rode it again last weekend in the front, back, and middle, and my legs got all tingly on each ride. This ride is
pure FURY. It's just so intense.

The lamest of all the B&M inverts I've rode. I found it forceless after the first drop. Nowhere near the intensity
of a Nemesis or a Batman. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Pure sex. Monstrous spiraling drop, wicked positives Gs everywhere (especially in the Cobra), a fantastic zero-g roll,
and great theming make this my new number 1. Yes, even over Griffon.

This is the very coaster where Fabio had that infamous encounter with a bird while riding it!

Not my favorite invert, but it's darn close. Incredibly intense and just a fun ride all around. The spiraling 1st drop
is very cool. Nice theme and everything... definitely one of the better ones out there.

I think it needs one more loop to bring my vote to a ten. It seems wierd that smaller inverters have seven loops while
the big one only has six. Dunno, seems wierd.

It was fun, but the drop is 3/4 of a helix and the cobra roll smashes your head to the side, but overall it is a good
ride

In my top 5 coasters I have ever been on, I would love to go on it again (went on it 5 years ago) so I can compare to
other inverts, since it was my first inverted coaster. Seems better than Talon, Batman, Raptor, and Dueling Dragons, and
I loved them all.

This isn't as good as Montu, but that's okay, Alpengeist can still be the second best invert in the world.

Great ride. Inversions are enormous and deliver thrills. The g-roll was great and so was the helix. Tall and fast and
exciting over the lake, makes it really awesome.

This is a really cool ride. At first, I wasn't that sure about it but it seemed to grow on my after the first time. Good
ride overall though with the drops and the loops.

My favorite invert. Pure force, probably the most intense Cobra Roll in the world.

This is the most amazing coaster ihave ever seen. I have never gotten the chance to ride it it was always broken done or
closed for maintenence. Looking at that Immeleum. By the way it's Geman for 'Ghoast of the Alps' not 'Monster of the
Winter'(LiveForTheLaunch)

This is huge and offers some intense drops, but personally it aint got anythin that makes me think it's as gud as
Nemesis. Still it's possibly the best inverter in America, although the theming is a bit poor compared wiv Duelling
Dragons or Raptor.

This is, without any doubt, the best B&m Inverted in the entire world. His huge Immelman, the biggest vertical loop in
the world, the biggest Cobra Roll in the world (Except the Cobra from the Hulk), and lots and lots of ground-effects,
theming and fright-moments. This thing deserves a 10.

Great pacing, great theming, and a solid layout...but there is just something missing from the ride that keeps it from
being a 10.

I like the well designed station making it look like a ski lodge. Well done Busch Gardens.

This was a nice ride. The drop was alright, but I think the scenery was the best part of the ride. Whirling through
the trees is just beautiful. Alpengeist is also twisted like a milkshake and it will have you tossin' through the
woods, screaming out for more!

Yah, I also forgot to add that I really love the way "Alpengeist" means "Monster of the Winter". Very creative and an
awesome name at that!

Holy, I think this ride looks awesome. If I ever got a chance to choose 1 inverted coaster to ride in the whole world,
it would no doubt be Alpengeist. It looks absoloutely amazing, with a huge first drop (For everyone who doesn't know,
about 40% of my whole judgement of a ride comes from the first drop), some crazy inversions, and some nice scenery, it
looks like a ride I will definately HAVE to ride at some point in the next few years. It actually might even be better
than Raptor, although I do hate to admit it!

This ride is great, but several times I forgot about the cobra roll.
